  • Message Data: Our app monitors incoming notifications to provide auto-reply functionality. This data is processed entirely locally on your device. We NEVER collect, store on our servers, or share your messages or contact names.
  • Account Information: If you choose to sign in with Google, we access your basic profile information (name, email) and specific Google Drive/Sheets permissions that you explicitly grant.

3. Use of Google Data

WhatAutoReply uses the Google Sheets API and Google Drive API to enhance your experience. We use these permissions solely to:

  • List spreadsheets: To allow you to select which Google Sheet should be used for auto-replies.
  • Read data: To fetch keyword-reply pairs from your selected spreadsheet.
  • Log activity: To optionally save a log of automated replies to a spreadsheet of your choice.

We do not share, sell, or use your Google account data for any purpose other than the features listed above.

4. Background Processing

The app requires a "Foreground Service" and "Notification Listener" permission to monitor messages while the app is in the background or the screen is off. This is a core requirement for automated replying. A persistent notification is shown whenever the service is active to ensure you are aware of its operation.

5. Data Storage

All app configurations, including your reply templates, schedules, and local logs, are stored locally on your device. Clearing the app data or uninstalling the app will remove this information.

6. Third-Party Services

We use Firebase (by Google) for:

  • Authentication: Securely managing your Google Sign-In session.
  • Crash Reporting: Helping us identify and fix bugs to improve app stability.
