In this Privacy Policy ("Policy"), I, the developer, describe how I collect, use, and disclose information that I obtain about users of my app Deleted Message Recovery (the "App") and the services available through my App (collectively, the "Services").

If you choose to use this Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that is collected is used for providing and improving the Service. Any of your information will not be shared with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

By using the App, or using any of my Services, you agree that your personal information will be handled as described in this Policy. Your use of my App or Services, and any dispute over privacy, is subject to this Policy and my Terms of Service, available below, including its applicable limitations on damages and the resolution of disputes.

Data Collected by Deleted Message Recovery

The Service provides the ability to retrieve chat messages (in text and multimedia format) in case they disappear for any reason, through a backup mechanism. Deleted Message Recovery collects these data, which however is locally saved on your device.

Deleted Message Recovery does NOT share with anyone any data related to your messaging activity. Any file backed up is only saved locally and not shared with any other party. The User is the only one to have access to their backed up data.

1. Notifications & Messages

To provide its core functionality, the App requires Notification Access. When enabled, the App listens for incoming notifications from supported messaging applications.

  • Collection: The App captures the text user, title, and content of notifications.
  • Storage: This data is stored mainly in a local database on your device.
  • Use: It is used solely to display the message history to you, allowing you to recover messages even if they are deleted by the sender.
  • Sharing: We DO NOT transmit your messages to any server.

2. Media Files

The App scans your device storage (internal or external) to identify and backup media files (Images, Videos, Voice Notes, Audio, Documents, GIFs, Stickers) associated with messaging apps.

  • Collection: The App identifies new media files in specific folders.
  • Storage: Backups are created in the App's local storage directory.
  • Access: We require Storage Permissions (Read/Write) to perform this function.
  • Sharing: Your media files stay on your device. We do not upload them.

Log Data and Analytics

Whenever you use this Service, in case of an error in the App, some data and information could be collected (through third party products) on your device called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing the Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

We use automated devices and applications, such as Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), to support the App. We also may use other analytic means to evaluate the Services. I use these tools to help me improve the Services, performance and user experiences. I do not share your personal information directly with these third parties, but they may collect data as per their own policies.

Any access to and use of such linked websites is not governed by this Policy, but instead is governed by the privacy policies of those third party websites. We are not responsible for the information practices of such third party websites.

Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case I discover that a child under 13 has provided me with personal information, I immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact me so that I will be able to do necessary actions.

Security

I value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time, so please be sure to check back periodically. Your continued use of the Service will signify your acceptance of any adjustment to these policy. You will be notified of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
